Children's Toys

Jesus: "The wearying, dissatisfying idols, the 'gods' that you've made up, are no more to you than 'blown-up children’s toys.' A child is frightened when a wooden head springs out at him as a closed box is opened suddenly, or when a soft and silent woolly bear begins to loudly squeak as he takes hold of it. His expectations, rules he made for boxes and for bears, have failed him thus, and broken his 'control' of his surroundings. And so he is afraid, because he thought his rules protected him. Now must he learn the boxes and the bears did not deceive him, broke no rules, nor made his world chaotic and unsafe. He was just mistaken. He misunderstood what made him safe, and thought that it had forsaken him. Reality observes the laws of God, and not the rules your ego made. It is His laws that guarantee your safety. Illusions you hold obey no laws in truth. They must be neither cherished nor attacked, but merely looked upon as children’s toys with no meaning of their own. See no meaning in them, and they will touch you not."

The artificial "gods" I've made to rule my life need have no effect on me unless I believe in them, and that is but my choice. Should any fearful feeling, sense of littleness, or guilt, arise in my awareness today, I'll just pause a holy instant, and let spirit's vision show me the way to peace.-- Ch. 30. IV. 2 - 4.

The RMMC has child care for Sunday Gatherings

Childcare is available during our gathering from 11:00 am to noon on Sundays. Feel free to bring your little ones when you attend these Sunday Gatherings. For more information call Maureen at (303) 797-7778.

** Note: At the RMMC we celebrate a diversity of backgrounds and teaching styles with a common goal of studying and living the principles of A Course in Miracles. You may hear different viewpoints at our Sunday gatherings and each teacher and class offers something unique. We encourage you to experience several to find your best fit.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
If you have some skills that you want to offer to our Miracle Center community, we would welcome your ideas and your support. Currently identified volunteer opportunities include the following:
• General Computer/Office help, with or without experience, could help with the newsletter, flyers, office correspondence or database updates. If you want to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, and believe you’re teachable, this is a great opportunity to get free lessons.
